Tucson Quarter Midget Association

We’re raising funds for a permanent Tech shed to allow our race directors and technicians to check for compliance within the racing envelope (standards) to allow for competitive racing.

Tucson Quarter Midget Association aka. TQMA a is located off of I-10 on the West Side Frontage Road of Avra Valley Road. TQMA has been operating as a non-profit organization for youth racing for almost 20 years. The one twentieth of a mile asphalt oval has had numerous National and Regional events held on its grounds, and we have 5 planned for the 2016-2017 season.

Every event at TQMA is free for the entire family. The pits are open to parents and children who are able to go out and talk to the drivers and sometimes get inside of a real race car. We invite everyone to come out and take part in our events. Without donations and sponsorship from local companies it is tough for our non-profit youth race track to continue to keep the kids off the streets and on the track. Racing is open to boys and girls 5 – 16 years old. Our racers drive specially-designed quarter scale sprint cars that run on 3.5 horsepower Honda gx120 Motors and mid grade pump gas. These quarter scale sprint cars, also lovingly called “quarter midgets” are kept to the ground using their official Hoosier tire package.

The entire TQMA race track is run by a volunteer board made up of race family members. We do not charge admission fees for spectators. We raise funds through not only the concession stand, but special event raffles, and your generous donation to our fundreasy campaign.
